Got another mind bending question for you guys. Brace your selves! On the standard every day big twin bicycle peddle. The parts book shows the rubber as 33182-17. On Fleese-Bay today there was a set with 33182-62. The 58-68 book shows it as black. What's the difference? I've never noticed any on the bikes but obviously there was as the number changed. I'm always on the look for oem ones do to the fact the after market ones are sponge rubber crap. Ever hold and original in one hand and the crap in the other and you'll see what I mean. Bob L

Bob, I couldn't find the ones on e-bay, but I bought some with the same # last year and they were very hard rubber like all of the originals. I don't know why the part # changed. These are square cut on the ends and the really early ones are tapered, but that happened long before 1962...Rod
