I am currently running a Rivera belt primary with 24T trans sprocket and the stock 51T hyd. brake drum on a stock 1960 DuoGlide. It runs 2800 rpm at 60 mph. I would like more mph (70) and not add a lot of rpm. 25 tooth is to big (being cautious) and if I change to disc brake and 48 tooth sprocket I think that my 2.66 first gear would be to tall to take off from a stop, so with a Baker 6 I could keep my stock rear drum with 51T, at least thats my thought, has anyone tried this ?
