I have a 57 flh. Started first kick, after two prime, ran great for 50-60 miles (no speedo) and then demons possessed the kicker. The kick arm droppped to the ground, bounced around a few times then poppped back into position and seemed normal. I have only had this bike about a year and a half, prior bikes were brit and jap. This is a new one on me. How do I fix it.

I had a similar problem on my 56 when the kicker stop-pin sheared. My didn't bounce back. Man I was praying I didn't stall it on the way home. They make excellent rebuild kits for the whole kicker assembly. Leave bike on kick stand when removing the pigs-snout and you won't have much oil on the floor either. also while removing cover pay close attention to how your throw out bearing comes out. It a pretty straight foward process you shouldn't have any problems.-Steve
