Jack's gear ratio and wheel speed calc

#1

Post by plattd »

Trying to get a handle on rpm/speed bands and I'm having no luck finding info on pan gear ratios, also no luck getting into Jack's recommended calculator from Terra-Glide. It seems to be an MS-DOS exe file that I can't open on my Mac. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sent a message to Jack, but unfortunately he says he only has the MS-DOS version available and I don't seem able to download it on my Mac. Any help with that appreciated, or maybe someone out there knows the 4 gear ratios for the standard Pan box--then I can plug those into a couple of online calculators. Somewhere I saw these figures: 1st 3.24; second 2.21; third 1.6, fourth 1.23. Do these look right?
