Guys, Does anyone know the size of the threads on the mainshaft retaining nut kicker side? Haggis.

Panz4ever,
Yep I think thats the one, right hand side , holds mainshaft to roller bearing, what size is it ?
1 1/8" fine thread? Haggis. My theads got a little beat up on the shaft , going to see if I can chase them with a die while it;s still in the case...should be fun....just want to be certain about the size!!! Haggis.

The mainshaft is as hard as the hubs o' hell, so you will probably chip a very expensive die. Even if it wasn't an interrupted thread.
(Meaning a slot or two cut through the threads for a lockwasher, not meaning how I barged in on this discussion.)

Cotten,
"Threadus interuptus"....
The very first thread on the shaft got a little rounded when the old nut spun off under power.
Just need to clean it up a little, dont want to hazard crossthreading the new one on.
Is it worth the try to chase them, still trying to picture what sort of contraption I 'll have to construct to hold the die for use in that confined space. Haggis.
