Leaky tranny stud

Hi guys,
Back left tranny mounting stud has basically stripped out >, tried the tape fix but cant get it to pull up enough. Can I Helicoil this without having to take the tranny out of the frame? Haggis

they make a oversize studs, oem is....
3/8-16x3/8-24
over size are.....
7/16-14x3/8-24 and
1/2x13x3/8-24

these are about 15.00 set of 4

drain tranny, I bet you could run the tap right on in with out drilling it. coat the tap with grease as this will help trap the chips from taping.

but the mount plate might not let this happen.
