pan 65 gearbox ? problem

#1

Post by gena »

the back wheel is stuck, it seems to me that it is something wrong with the gearbox. I can turn the backwheel a half turn then it is stuck like rock then it is possible to turn it back again. What can be wrong ?

If you have low oil level in the gearbox , the kickstart ratchet gear can sieze on the mainshaft ..... you may be able to move the rear wheel a small amount , backwards & forwards , limited by the movement of the kickstart lever that is now permanently engaged........

Regards , Flatboy.

Flatboy-50-- Hit it on the head!--thats what I would check first! incase its not the issue,a shifting fork could have loosened-up!--can you run thru the gears?--if not pop the lid off & have a LOOKSEE in there!----respectfuly----RICHIE

Gena!

Please inspect for a rock or fastener that may be jammed between the countersprocket/chain and the ears of the transmission case.
