Right side electric start

#1

Post by rmcrh »

There was information posted re a right side electric start. I believe I found it in the knowledge base although the referenced site was list as no longer available. I am seeking this for a disabled individual ( one of my chosen brothers) with a 53 F L .
Does any one have current information, opinions etc ? Please let me know.
Thanks in advance and thanks to Tony ( 4pans1man ) for the clips from a previous note ( rear fender strip clips 53 fl model ).
The forum is very helpful to say the least.

I've never used one or seen one but, it looks like a decent alternative and right in line with what you want it for... Doesn't look too ugly either and the price seems to be fair considering the alternative...

Dave, are you referring to Russ Peterson's right side electric start or the tech cycles unit?

I have never used one of them!--But all the feedback was positive!---& now with these AGM BATTERYS--They fit in the oiltank & have enuff cranking amps to start!---There is a youtube on this rightside unit that the inventor made!. It shows a cold start, & hot start-up!. Both were just push the buttom & the bike is running! Very nice unit if you need it!-Simple & very effective design!---Richie---Hope this helps some. :!:

Yes Russ Peterson builds a great unit, lots of thought and engineering on this unit. The biggest thing to do is get the oil tank changed out. He has good instructions and it is easy to install.
