Correct transmission adjuster bolt?

#1

Post by kehughes »

Here are a couple of adjuster bolts I have. Notice subtle difference in the shape of the center section. Which one is correct for a '50?

What is the other for?

Thanks.

My 50 (original) has squared ends and a seration in the middle.
Different styes in the parts bin in 50? We need more replies from original bikes.

The loose ones I have all appear to be the same as the bottom one in your pic, including a NOS AMF adjuster, so you may be able to rule that one out.

I have 2 others but I looked and they're just like one of the others. Maybe someone else has a picture of other styles and could clarify the periods of use.. Ive never seen the different styles covered.

I also think the top adjuster is the same as the bottom one but just worn on the center bolt.

No way. It's machined like that.
