Post by panhead62 »

Love my pan. Been riding regular and rode Monday over 100mi no problems. Yesterday started her up and then shut down to finnish some things before going riding. Went to start and now nothing. checked spark plugs and their getting fire. Getting fuel to carb. Battery good. Checked intake for air leaks, none. Have S&S carb, mallory electronic circuit breaker. Leg is getting tired and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

check the coil, I found out after weeks of tearing my hair out and kicking and kicking that even with what apears to be a hot spark with the plugs out may not fire under compression :? .Tim

Panman1960 and pan4ever. Thanks for the thoughts, I ended up changing the elect. module, coil, plugs and wires. Fired up on the 3rd kick. After looking over the old module I found a bare spot on the hot wire, it was touching the base of the cylinder. Don't know if it hurt the mod or not but put the new one in anyway. Thanks again for the response. I am on the road though the week that's it took so long to respond to your help.

Thanks again
Bob
