I have several parts I bought from insurance companys ,theft recovered parts or slightly damaged and so on ,this was years ago when I was in the autowrecking business. For my self I bought a 59 pan basket case to have the extra parts needed to complete my 61 pan . Now I have a collection of parts that I'm not sure what belongs to what . I also have a wheel I bought in 1970 used ,its all black 16" x5:00 and has a good year grasshopper tire on it . I never used it . to me these all look the same ,star bearing cover etc. Is there something that I can look for to detect what years they came off?

Take off the star. If it has loose roller bearings, it's 1936-66.

Thanks kitabel, I also just now noticed they all have grease nipples in the pre 67 ,where they dont list any after that .. I seem to have 3 old style wheels . Thanks again..
