Need New Tire!!!!!

#1

Post by 58flh »

Whats-up guys, Well I am to the point where my pans almost ready to roll! However i do have a ? for anybody. I need a new rear sneaker for my rigid,does anyone know of a good place to buy good tires cheap! We all know the H.D. dealers are way to much! & my guy is out of biz. due to the economy! I do want brand new rubber, continental,dunlap,or avon special rigid tire!-if they still make them. In the past 26yrs. I have got my hands on a few used tires-upon my personal inspection,they were great! However the ol-lady & me are going on a long vacation this summer,so I prefer NEW! some of you guys know i live in N.J. So if anybody knows of a good place with reasonable $$$$$$s please let me know! Thanks to all, keep it upright----58flh

Ed, No manufacture is going to compete with their distributors. If you go to a manufacture's site and buy. You will be paying the retail list price. Bob L

Hey guys 58flh here. I just scored a continental,rigid tire for $120.00 --free shipping from Utah---the name of the place is:

Rocky Mtn. Atv*Mc
Jake Wilson
1551 West American Way
Payson, Utah 84651
(801)4653140 or email http://www.jakewilson.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

)

The tire size is (MT 90 16 T M/C 71H K112 tubeless) They told me 5 days shipping,it came in 2 days! Good deal I thought. Also they have many other makes available! (check em out ) great prices here!

Motorcycletires.com in Centerville, OH has given me excellent prices and service for several years now.
Phone number is 888-628-4737
A couple of other places I have checked online advertise slightly lower prices, but MCT is closer to me and seem to charge actual shipping costs.
Regards,
John

I run the Avon sm MK-II 5.00x16 on the rear and a speedmaster 3.00x21 on the front. Two weeks ago... American MotoTire out of Phoenix. Shipped to my door for $220. The date codes also show the tires were fresh... Manufactured in January 2011. Online places often sell stale tires.

I made the mistake of ordering an Avon Speedmaster 3.50X19 from V-Twin almost two years ago. Not only was it overpriced, and badly crushed, and made in 1996, but it was a 3.50X18, not 19.
Their response was that they don't sell the 18" tire.

My Pan was wearing a set of the Conti Blitz when I got it, but they were old and worn, so I can't rate them.
