Protecting Aluminum Wheels.
Has anyone here tried protecting aluminum with some type of coating? The Sporster my boy and I are assembling has the original bat rims. These wheels had already been assembled and we got hit with a storm that ripped a hole in the roof. The minute that water hit the wheels it was over. Now that I've got them apart again and repolished, I'd like to shoot them with a coating such as aluminum mag wheel coating before I lace them back up. Thanks, Bob L

Bob,
I've used S100 Corrosion protectant on aluminum nacelles, chrome wheels, handle bars, etc with what I'd call great results; at least a whole season of washes and a few rains before needing to clean up and reapply.
