Hplhd!
If you are drilling out dice or plastic skulls for Schrader valve caps,
then 5/16"-32 will work, just like zirques.
Technically, there should be a rubber seal inside.

You may have to counter-balance.
Doorknobs that are really appealing can be too heavy for even a shift knob. One associate with a traditional "jockey shift" found that a meaty one would cause his transmission to pop out of gear on bumps.
Doesn't everybody collect Schrader valve caps and shift knobs?
I still have empty spaces in both of my collections, but I need two van tires badly, and I am about to check out the seedy little autoservice on the far end of town, if I ever catch him open.
Unfortunately, it is hard to tell where his dumpster ends and his empire starts.
I haven't found any that are battery-powered LEDs yet.

Re: vave stem cap
Please use common sense if you decide to "roll your own" valve caps. I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I'll take one for the team. When I was much younger and much dumber (certainly not Einstein material!!), I made some caps out of some rather large caliber bullets. We thought they looked pretty cool, but didn't give much thought to how a rubber valve stem would react to the weight and the centrifugal force the homemade caps would exert. Riding home that night on I-80 at high speed, first the rear stem tore, and then about 5 seconds later the front stem tore loose. It was the equivalent of a double blow-out, and it took every thing I had (plus some very good luck) just to hang on and not shit my drawers. I still have the rear bullet/cap in my tool box as a reminder; it was hanging on by a shred of the rubber valve stem, the front stem separated completely, probably from the added lateral force of the front wheel rapidly twitching from left to right and back again. Ever since then I've just used the little black plastic caps .

old.wrench!
So dice are dicey?
(Sorry Folks, I couldn't stop myself.)
I only care for the Historical, but I just can't wait for illuminated pressure-read, sound-alarm, "theft-resistant", downloadable-data-history valves show up on my dumpster route.
